Every item you save in 1Password is stored in a vault. You can use vaults to organize your items and share with others. Items in a vault are available to everyone with access to that vault. If you have an individual account
If you have an individual account, you can upgrade to 1Password Families or 1Password Teams:
- Sign in to your account on 1Password.com and click Invite People in the sidebar.
- Choose your upgrade option.

If you started your subscription with an in-app purchase, you won’t see the option to invite people. For help upgrading your account, contact 1Password Support.
If you have a family account
If you have a family account, you can upgrade to 1Password Teams or switch to an individual account.
Upgrade to 1Password Teams
- Sign in to your account on 1Password.com and click Settings in the sidebar.
- Click Use 1Password Teams.
Switch to an individual account
- Sign in to your account on 1Password.com and click Settings in the sidebar.
- Click “Use 1Password by myself”.

1password Family Plan Password
If you have a team or business account
If you have a team account, you can upgrade to 1Password Business:
- Sign in to your account on 1Password.com and click Billing in the sidebar.
- Click 1Password Business.
If you have a team or business account and want to switch to 1Password Families, contact 1Password Support. If you’re the only person using the account, you can switch without contacting support: sign in to your account on 1Password.com, click Settings in the sidebar, and choose the account type you want to switch to.
